Xbox Cloud Gaming freezes after Sims 4 profile selection

Since July 29, The Sims 4 has consistently frozen immediately after I select my Xbox profile in Xbox Cloud Gaming. I’ve tested multiple browsers, Incognito mode, the Xbox app, multiple devices and internet connections, cleared caches, reinstalled EA/Gaming Services, reset XBL authentication data with Microsoft Support, verified my EA/Xbox account link, and confirmed other cloud games work normally. Microsoft remotely troubleshot and escalated the issue, and EA has now opened an investigation, but the problem remains unresolved.

    I actually already tested this. I used another account on the exact same computer and The Sims 4 worked normally. When I switch back to my account, the game freezes immediately after selecting my Xbox profile.

    I’m in the United States and I do not use a VPN. I’ve also tested multiple devices, browsers, the Xbox app, and different internet connections. Other Xbox Cloud Gaming games work normally on my account.

    At this point, the issue appears to specifically follow my account rather than my device, network, or Xbox Cloud Gaming itself.

    SingingKitten43​  What you've described sounds like an incompatibility for sure, in which case there's nothing you can do to fix it.  But since I haven't seen any other similar reports recently, I still wonder if there's something on your end causing an issue.  Do you know anyone else who has an XBox Cloud Gaming account that you could borrow to test with?  Since Sims 4 is free, it's easy enough to add to another EA account, in case the link between accounts is an issue.

    Separately, what country are you in, and do you use a VPN?
