Bug with the character needs window

I abandoned the game for a couple of months; everything was fine before that. I came back, updated the game, and while playing, I noticed a really annoying bug: when I enter and exit construction mode, the needs window closes. I have to click it twice to open it, exactly twice. The first time it just flashes and then immediately closes.
