In The sims 1 my Sim disappears after if I try to go home after going to town

I just downloaded The sims legacy and I managed to play it for 3h but, when I go to another town or the park, and I try to go home I grab a taxi and my sim just disappears, the game takes me to a empty lot and I can’t find my family anywhere, but my house is saved, I tried exiting the game, didn’t work I tried I uninstalled the game and installed again and it did nothing, so I made another family and it happened again, this sucks because I can’t leave my house.
