The Sims 2 Legacy (NOT WORKING!!)

Everytime, I try to enter a family, or I try to go into create a sim it loads and crashes. Before all the uptades it worked just fine, and now i can't even play without it crashing every time i try to load a family. It is ridiculous. The first day it came out it worked just fine and would crash after about 2-3 hours but i'd save a lot so it wasn't that huge but now I can't even enter.
