A week later and we still have no answers, no updates, nothing. I tried contacting EA support and all they did was pass me around to another team, got me nowhere. They’ve ruined this game and my desire to play. They keep adding things no asked for or wanted and now our devices can’t handle all this garbage. Seems intentional to me when it’s happening after every update now.
I think this is a problem between Apple and EA and the way graphics are handled. From what I understand from a friend of mine, the 26.4 ios update changed the way graphics are handled. That’s why my older Apple devices can’t play Sims Freeplay now but my brand new Apple A16 IPad can with very few problems. Apple updated our devices and EA put out an update about the same time. This isn’t an easy problem to fix. We just have to try and be patient. They will figure it out because they know many of us are counting on them including me and they have always come through in the past 13 years I’ve been here.

All this says to me is that eventually anyone with an older device won’t be able to keep up with all the junk they keep adding so this day was coming one way or another. The lack of updates or any communication at all regarding these issues is very telling. It’s not going to be hard to say goodbye.
