It gets far worse, everything becomes so expensive it's gonna take you years to gain just a handful of levels. In at level 33 and I have been stuck here for months because it takes forever to save the 3,500,000 simoleons it requires for unlocking the next development site required to level up. Those are going to become your new worst part of the game soon enough and the workplaces won't even matter anymore. Plus you can make far more simoleons farming the community garden lot than you do having 28 plus sims all working jobs daily, 8 sims in the community garden pays way better in the same time. I basically focus more on building my store up since that is truly the bane of this game, free to play, so long as you have patience and work specifically towards leveling and rewards. Sim chase and influencer island events are easy enough to help build your store inventory up too.
