I am at a level 6 and level 7 nurse and doctor in the hospital profession. Both are maxed out and ready to upgrade. I just need one badge for helping an important sim. However the important sim has been stuck in the hospital for over 3 weeks and requires a triage which isn't until a later level. How do I get rid of this NPC so I can level up?
If there is an option for an unbuildt room, like the Triage, it normally mean it is unlocked for you to build but you may not have the resources to do so
Trade, sell or exchange resources to get what you need to build the Triage, concentrate on getting resources to unlock one room at a time, discard, sell or trade the resources you do not need to unlock the room you are working on
Prioritise expanding your storage, use all coins to increase your storage to the max, next priority should be building rooms, when all rooms are build, work on one room at at time to upgrade
I had the same problem and the only way I could get rid of that NPC was by starting a new work shift with one of my Sims (not the one trying to level up), completing some tasks with other NPCs and then I quickly canceled the shift. That caused the important Sim to leave the building they were in. In my case, it was the Spa.
