Pet Park Issues

When attempting to complete the dog agility hobby, if I go to the pet park at any time, my active sim has their action cancelled. This could be at any time throughout the approx 5 hour task so I have to completely avoid the pet park for any other actions. 

Today, I had another sim on the lot completing the cat show hobby and when I loaded into the lot with my dog agility hobby sim as the active sim, the game bounced me automatically over the cat show hobby sim and the other sims action was cancelled. This has been happening since I began the dog agility hobby approximately a week ago. 

I am on iOS on an iPad but cannot take a photo or video as the action has been cancelled by the time I load into the pet park lot.
