Unable to extend time for events on iOS

For some reason I can’t extend time for any events when I play on iOS, usually it gives me an option to purchase more time through either in game currency or real life currency.

What gives?

Can’t double shift
I’m vip 6 and one of the perks is to be able to double shift but it won’t let me, I have to pay for them to do it, it let me do it one at vip 5 and that was it, nothing since then.
