Bigger DLC Packs... What's next??

I understand that moving the Kits to the Marketplace is to allow ease of access; from the pricing options it looks like Kits won't change in price. We also will not have to completely reload the game to get the content in game.

My concern is that other than continuing to be available to purchase the way we have been, what of the Expansion, Game and Stuff Packs?

Will the recent Packs be the last? Do you think the Marketplace will eventually have a gameplay mod feature? There are still a number of things on the everyday Sims4 players Wishlist!

Excluding CAS and Build/Buy items, as we will have access to CC with the new program; I still think we need Preteens and possibly a Middel Age, with some new CAS categories. I've always found it odd that once your sim is a teen, suddenly you can wear anything, and you could very well keep the same outfits through Death and Rebirth (Life & Death).  This is just one example that immediately comes to mind.

TLDR// Will we ever get another Expansion, Game or Stuff Pack? What about new gameplay features?

Kits will be the same price but you can't buy 4.99 of moola, you'll always be left with excess incentivising you to buy more moola to buy more things, it's the typically underhanded money-grubbing practices you should expect from EA.  I'd recommend you use your purchasing power and refuse to get anything through the Marketplace.

  • If they weren't already planning to cheat you in the Marketplace, they would just use real-world currency instead of an invented one you need to buy with currency. The purpose of in-game currency is to make purchases more expensive and more confusing. Here are some examples. 1) They can manipulate the price of the in-game currency. 2) They can refuse to sell "moola"  in the exact amount you need to pay for Marketplace items. 3) They can introduce other forms of in-game currency that you can only buy with "moola." Let's call the second in-game currency "glimmer." They can designate some dlc to be purchased only with "glimmer" and then manipulate the price of "glimmer." 4) The next step is creating a third kind of in-game currency--let's call that "crystal"--that can only be purchased with "glimmer" and allows you random drawings of items. 5) That's how you turn The Sims into a Gacha game for gambling addicts.
