How may I ask a playable Sim to move in?

Okay so I married a playable sim and and I'm level 8 where you unlock the access of moving your partner in your household but when I try doing that it says theres no room. I only have my 2 sims and a baby and 2 bedrooms. I tried adding 3 bedrooms but that did nothing. am I not able to move them in because its a playable sim or something else?

No more room in your household refers to the number of playable Sim slots that are available, not to the number of rooms or bedrooms in a house.&nbsp;

You must have an empty playable Sim slot when you want to ask a playable Sim to move in. Notice that this Sim slot must remain empty until the other player accepts or denies your request.&nbsp;
