Multiple Camp spawn

Strange situation happen on word Firestorm 15 (426)

There are areas when camp spawning mechanism doesn't work, limit of 2 camps per base is not followed.

Try to count that

And my single base in that area, generates 18 camps

Perhaps increasing numbers of camp generating per base would be a good idea for future improvement or specific word setup, but here this is a bug.

There are also some strange camps from unknown origin, moving on camp is not possible, because error appears. Killing this camp is also not possible.

Same word different area seems fine.

Not very troubling, however I will add that this word is affected by  "attack in progress" bug, and that may be related. So I writing those info with hope that it will help solve the bigger issue.

 

  • I got confirmation that player that was stuck in attack mode for month can now use normalny problematic bases on Firestorm 15.

    Camps also eventually went away.

    and Firestorm 10 also good

    I call that a success and consider issue as resolved.

    Good news everyone.

    Situation improved on Firestorm 15.

    Additional camps started to disappeared on their own.

     

    At maximum point it was 22 Camps, so even more than a previous photo from the same sport from few days ago where was 18

    Second spot with multiple camps

    There was 72 camps few days ago, 33 now, and dropping down as I write this message.

    Most important my base in no longer stuck in attack and I can move it.

    No additional camps in the area as well.

    And now Firestorm 10, landing site also looks better. Time will tell if camps will start to disappear as well.

     

    I will wait for feedback from other players on F15, but it looks like it is fixed, so I hope it is a permanent fix. 
    At the moment I can say now thanks.

  • All of this information is proving useful for the developers to track down the bug.  Keep posting with any new developments on the 'too many camps' or similar issue (NOTE to other players -  not just 'I'm stuck in attack mode')

    Thanks for positive discussion, some new information’s for me as well.

    I did found one more world with strange Camp situation, this time with a twist. World Firestorm 10 (400)

    Permanent satellite drop. There is even animation of drop, but showed only once after logging to world.

    As complementary information to the above: the "reaction" time of actions is slowed down: If a camp is attacked it takes several seconds >5sec before the attack starts and shows up

    This camps generate when you try to place a new base over "bad camp" position, each new try generates new camp.

    In this case no. Camp 57 from my 4rd picture was just there. I did not move this base for longer than few months. Second player is no active form months.
    Other camps appeared in areas with 0 activity as well.

    Attacks on bad camps result in "Attack in progress" bug.

    Interesting, may be on point. I was trying to hit that camp but I could not. Then I tried to attack other camp from my base, but still could not hit it. Next I moved my base which was possible, but not on "bad camp". So I moved one field down, now this base in stuck in attack and I can not move it back. However I was able to sell my command center and offence buildings, no difference. Hmm.

      After attack on "bad camp" you can move the base in 1-2 minutes, so time is limited. Then the base becomes blocked. You can't move and attack or upgrade the offence. Selling command center won't help. If base is destroyed it can't be restored.

  • There is the same situation on World 2 (Russian).

      World 2 (Russian) finally works, good job! Thank you!

      To edit my initial post I had to use a option that is in different place than normal post edition (which is three dot menu on post).

      The bar with icon suggesting settings is in fact an dropdown menu with edit option.
