It happened to me also, but if you place everything you get prize after prize! I got tons of tracks!,

I have the same glitch, and besides that I cannot enter the event menu in the build menu, it doesn't exist for me anymore. very strange glitch.
I click store on the extra stations and characters but they don't stack or show up in the inventory, however I do get extra rails and station extras, which is what counts anyway haha.
