Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't remember being able to purchase the valentines day items with donuts, EA knew what they were doing and banked on 'desperate' customers to speed up the last snakes in order to achieve their goal. After one has been relentlessly whacking for the best part of a month, of course they would be desperate.
