I've already posted this. But people need to understand. Since EA is so bad at notifications, why did they put out this notification.

As of right now, there has still been NO notification of an extension.
But at Christmas, when speeding up prizes with donuts wasn't a part of the game.

The extension was a courtesy as someone here has said. The fact that they didn't let us know; was a moneymaking ploy.
