European players

Send them when you're going to sleep. I usually get loads of elixir+gold when I check the game again in the morning.
  • I'm dutch and I earn tons of gold and elixir a day.
I send my nerds out when I have some. 1 morning gave me 3,000 elixir and 1000 gold
  • Send only one nerd per attack, target only random towns, when you go to sleep place nerds in houses that have a 12hr or less wait time, then DON'T log in for 12 hours. And I mean don't do it, not even to check your shields, sleep, do a long breakfast but don't login for those 12 hours.

    Nice quick summary.

Not all good, the part of just targeting random towns I mean. Does that mean you are supposed to ignore your neighbours?

I do both and still manage to get the prizes, there's weeks to go yet, what is the rush?

@dmog send out the random nerds before you go to bed as fuff says. I have neighbours from all over Germany, Holland, Spain, Finland, and a lot from other parts of the world. it shouldn't make any difference.

Each will play their game in their own way, but if you don't like the way they play then it's your choice to remove them.

    Edit for typos

See this link for a bug that is allowing some to do well without even knowing why.

Going to give this a try
  • The not logging in for 12 hours is a bit of a fallacy imho, all that's doing is adding up the elixir/gold that you'd have earned popping in and out during those 12 hours. What about the 6x lots of nerds you'd be missing out on?

If neighbours attack my houses/castles I use revenge to pay back the favour but otherwise I'm not attacking them. The way that EA have set it up, you earn only a fraction of elixir/gold compared to random or revenge attacks.

I'm UK and get a few thousand elixir/gold during the day and usually wake up to around 7.5k elixir and 2.5-3k gold each morning. I send one nerd per attack, one attack per town, mixture of castles and houses, depending on what's available.

Slayer: I PMed you on this for the personal part.

Regarding the above, we were talking about a strategy from another thread, not what we are doing ourselves.

It is not a fallacy. It has been verified by several people who have multiple towns by sending enough nerds to attack on one building to reduce the time to one hour. Then defending. And waiting one hour to login to the attacking town. The result was that the attacker got credited as if they won. 12 hours is an example by the way.

If you are getting those numbers in the morning then you are benefiting from the bug without even realizing it.

Furthermore, EA has acknowledged this bug and says they are working on a fix.
