- This is something I tried for the first time earlier today. After crashing numerous times, I went to the end of the alphabet and visited neighbors going in reverse alphabetical order using the left arrow. I didn't crash after visiting about 15 neighbors from Z thru S. I'll see what happens tonorrow if I can do all my neighbors.
- I was having the same problem then someone suggested it as caused by the collect popping up on the short jobs that was causing it. So the remedy is don't play for one hour then go direct to your neighbours without collecting from jobs/buildings first. You should be able to skip through your neighbours reasonable quickly then. If I do this I only crash if someone visits me whilst I'm visiting my neighbours. A crash when I'm playing the game happens again when a neighbour visits me or if a collect for currency pops up whilst I'm collecting from buildings.
- Are there still people crashing when visiting neighbors? I can only get through a couple at a time. Tried the suggestions here but nothing works.
- I still crash whenever a neighbour visits me however I'd rather they visited that not :D . It's really a case of making sure nothing is about to collect (jobs or buildings) when I do my visits. Both SH and the monorail jobs seem to upset my iPad more than anything else but any collection triggering whilst I'm playing can cause a crash. It seems to be mostly on IOS platforms.

Glad my suggestion was read but I don't think I explained it well. You can play before doing visits, just don't set characters to short tasks just before doing visits. With 100 neighbours my visits take about 30mins to do everyone. So I never set tasks shorter than 60mins just before doing visits. The main ones that seem to be crashing my game are the 12min & 20min SH tasks & the 30s & 60min garbage tasks so I don't set any of these before visiting. I either put those characters on 60min tasks or leave them wondering around until visits are done. That's helped a lot but I do still get the odd crash on large premium towns.
My RTTF town is freezes on my iphone whenever I tap the recycling board to hand in. But if I play that town on my iPad then it's fine.- The game isn't directly crashing in my case, it just freezes. And the only way out is to hit the home key and then open a task manager and kill the TSTO app. Sometimes I have to 'kill' it more than once to get it out of the active app list. The freezing has become more common in the past day, and now I'm getting a screen freeze every other gaming session (I play multiple times a day for about 20 or 30 minutes at a time). And just a little while ago the game actually caused my Android phone to crash & reboot.
These last 2 updates (Springfield Heights & Monorail) are the absolute buggiest, most poorly programmed updates to TSTO ever. EA's QA has gone to hell in a handbasket this year ... what on earth is going on at that company? - meredythlSeasoned Newcomer

I am going to try this! It's driving me crazy how much the game crashes.
Also, my ability to buy any Springfield Heights bldgs. or decorations has disappeared. Anyone else? MuleHeadJoe wrote:

Try disconnecting your track. I did this, kept my 9 possums per 4 hrs, and my game stopped freezing. I disconnected the track leaving 4 pieces connected to the station.MuleHeadJoe wrote:

Are you playing on a new device? I have an iPad air 2 and my game never crashes. But, my brother that's using an older tablet often runs into problems. EA could stop giving us more land so the game plays flawlessly on old devices, or keep upgrading and focusing on the game running well on newer devices.Neglecterino wrote:

I was crashing on every single friend visit I tried until I too disconnected the track right at the station so that the monorail doesnt leave the station and my crashing was reduced significantly. Now i crash every few friends instead of every friend.
Is there a bigger fix for this? I really hope they can fix this before Act I is over :D
