Well, this is fun... EA has found a new way to ignore their premium players. I (and my wife) have everything on the list already so we NEVER saw the mystery boxes. The very few items that I need (offered before I was playing) are not on the list so, basically, I threw away donuts when I bought these things when they were first available. What a great event....

Other than the slow grind to get vouchers with the gnome, you need to spend donuts to get enough to get a mystery box anyway. So, you really didn't get screwed.
What are the few items you're looking for? :)"HYWMinstrel;1529991" wrote:

You also got the enjoyment of the items from the time you bought the items until now, so it's not a complete waste since if you bought them, you probably wanted them."trevornslane;1529993" wrote:

Right off the bat I can only think of Kimiko, Three eyed shushi, and the sub. There are a couple more that I'll remember when my brain works :)

You know, it's really not having the items that's annoying. It's the fact that we can't even play this part of the event. I actually kind of enjoy most of the events but somehow I feel cheated with this one. It's almost like I can't finish it ...
~M~- The message that should appear if you have all the items that they are now giving away for free, basically:
"Dear premium customer,
Thank you so much for supporting EA by purchasing in-game cash. We have decided to offer the stuff that you paid for for free to all customers during this event. However, we are offering nothing to you, a premium player. We decided not to offer anything special for you, a little premium gift to thank you for your support, even though you continued to play and earned thousands of vouchers. Have a Happy New Year and enjoy being ripped off.
EA" - I thought that many of the things available for vouchers were things that we got for free if you had played earlier winter events. I know I had most and hadn't made much effort to buy premium content except for characters in the past. I was able to pick up the few things things I didn't have. Since vouchers were earned using the gnome which I would have tapped anyway once I was done I didn't feel ripped off. People that haven't played past winter events would have had to spend donuts in order to get all of the things available.
- Yeah I have to disagree with the "being ripped off" feeling here. I too have almost everything that was being offered, but that's just the way the game works. Almost every time-limited item released eventually came back throughout the years-- and many came back attached with discounts or free donuts back. Some became free-- other items that I got for free early on came back for donuts too. That's just the way the game works. If you're buying everything as soon as it appears, you can be garanteed that at a later time, you'll be "ripped off" when someone else gets it for cheaper, for free, or for "free" using free donuts.
In the gnome case, they were offering items that were previously available, a good way for the majority of players to get something they missed. For me, the North Pole monorail station- and I'm damned happy I got it too.
You can't be offended about "others getting it for free', because without spending donuts you're lucky to get two boxes out of the deal- not the whole lot.
You feel like you can't complete this event-- but the only thing you're missing out on is clicking on a box and seeing it open-- the bulk of it (grinding for vouchers by chasing that gnome)- you can still do.
In any case, I'm sorry you feel ripped off. But at the same time, I don't hold EA responsible for ensuring that every single player has *something* new everytime old items are re-released. That too, is not realistic. - I don't have all the items, and I don't see the packages showing up. I can't buy anything, and I have over $2400 vouchers. WTF?

Players who already had all the items are in the same boat, we're obviously not important enough to be included in that part of the event. We get a hard time if we complain about it too, as it's too hard for EA to include new items ;)
