Harp freeze poll

Affected. Going on day 4. Everyone I know except one is affected too. One even has an iphone 5 and he can't play either.

Have gone online and emailed, left auto-lock off and game runs with harp sound (kinda driving me nuts so I put on silent), was able to visit my friends as a guest, not as me. continuously tweeted with @askeasupport today and got the same response "we're working on it. When I know, you'll know."

I just want to say FIX IT ALREADY DANGIT!

If you are fortunate enough to not have been affected, from what I can tell it occurs after completing a task to build a building like the Burns Mansion, Wiggum's House, El Chemistri, etc. Don't build any buildings until EA sorts it out!

This is only the most recent of all of the issues with this game. Are all of EA's projects like this? It seems that they are in such a hurry to get the next update out that they forego any sort of testing prior to release. I'm surprised that Apple allows the game to be put out-- they are supposed to be testing as well. For me, this is the third or fourth time I haven't been able to play for one reason or another and I've lost all my donuts and my Springfield sign among other premium items (spent $50 and then $20 on donuts). I started a trouble ticket with EA after that happened the day before Thanksgiving (around Nov 20 or so). I got two replies back beginning on 12/29 and the last one said that they were giving this to their higher support level. No answers back since then to any of my replies. Not very timely.

Are we that expendable? Do we mean nothing to these people?

Im on iphone 5. Was able to recover from it. My autolock set at never, signed in TSTO (on Wifi), went to sleep, phone battery went dead, woke up in the morning, turned on my phone, signed in again and it was fixed. Hope it works for you too.

I borrowed one from a friend for about an hour, installed the app, and left it on the load screen for about 15 mins, then it gets you to accept donuts (it took me about 30mins to accept them all) then I was back in. I haven't tried to get back into my iPad yet, but I assume I will be able to. The infinite loop seems to have broken!

Edit: During the 15mins on the load screen, you'll either need to tap the screen periodically, or turn auto lock to 'never' in the general settings on the iphone.

Thank you so much for this information. Used birthday anniversary $$ to get an iPhone 5 (a bit early, previous phone contract-wise, but this phone has been on my wish list for some time now anyway). Bonus rounds lasted nearly as long as my umpteenth attempts at letting the harp play for 15-minute bouts. No, seriously, the level bonuses continued for about 30 minutes, continuously. :lol:

This experience has allowed me to wean myself off my Springfield addiction somewhat as well, so as it turns out: "It's all good!"

Well, I am back up but unlike other gamers awesome donut experience I did NOT get ANY extra donuts. But at least it's working again.

Well after three days i finally got back in the game! .... In those three days i let it run for a hundred times i guess.
Last night i was finally lucky, i tried to log in on two devices (iphone 4 and ipad 3) ... On my ipad 3 it crashed again, and my iphone was still going. After it crashed to the home screen too, i tried it on my ipad again..... and got in!
Even got the donut bonus loop! (think you get that when you just leveled up before the crash, el chemistri gave me just enough xp to level before it crashed).

I think its just a matter of try and try again. I was totally pissed off for not playing these three days, but getting those donuts sure helps. ... thx for your incompetence EA!

Level 26, just had doughnut bonus for filling xp meter again and hen had harp of death when I next logged in. Using iPad 2, 64gig, latest iOS version, updated this morning, and tried the turn auto lock off and wait it out "fix" 4 times and still no joy. I had the bloody lost town issue before Christmas where i had to restart so I'm not really very impressed with ea right now
