Third, (forgive my repeating what I said elsewhere a few weeks ago), I think this is their new business model. Level 58 was 6 months ago. SINCE that time, the only PERMANENT premium items released came in the "long-ago" Level 59, and cost a total of 165 donuts. In that same time-frame (6 months), they have released LIMITED TIME premium items that cost a total of 4,965 donuts.
Truth here! I see truth!!!- jukan00New SpectatorI don't care about levels but I do want them to continue to introduce more permanent decos that cost in game cash.
- I always assumed that the game as originally fashioned included the idea of levels because that was simply the way games of this sort typically work. My gut feeling is that if the TSTO designers could magically go back and do it all over again they would abandon the level concept. Its an unnecessary distraction.

I have been saying since January that I think level updates will be more scarce because of the XP multiplier.
They do not want the XP meter to reset. This is of course my opinion and not based on any data or fact.
Forgive my ignorance but can somebody explain to me what this means?- If you have a multiplier high enough, you can spend donuts to turn on the XP multiplier. Then, you can max out the XP bar quickly to earn bonuts. Every time you earn bonuts, they reset your XP bar and set the maximum higher. If they put out level 60, everyone's maximum XP amount will go down, allowing them to earn more bonuts faster...
EDIT: Ninja'd by 24 seconds!!! :P - Thanks for the replies. I guess I never noticed that they reset the XP bar when a new level comes out.

First, I too wish they would not leave it at "59". It seems many of us are channeling our inner "Monk" . :)
Second, @patwright4, go to your room.
Third, (forgive my repeating what I said elsewhere a few weeks ago), I think this is their new business model. Level 58 was 6 months ago. As I said then, they suddenly are "showering" us with free donuts, but they're "flooding" us with premium items. All LIMITED TIME. Which adds an urgency to Buy Now. And to "Buy Now", I need enough donuts to fill whatever gap I have between free-donuts-I've-received-from-all-the-new-free-donut-methods-and-bonuts and number-of-donuts-to-buy-this-item that's going to leave the shop "in 12 hours"
Once they get a long-time freemium to buy, say, 15 donuts to fill a gap to buy a 150 donut LIMITED TIME item when all they have is 135 (free) donuts, that person is much more likely to visit the donut shop again.
I know that limited-time items are known for "returning", but even if one did in the future, there would be others being added along the way. So being assured that an item "will probably return" isn't really that reassuring.
Meanwhile, for new players, the game must be a lot more exciting than it was for those of us who plodded along through level updates with an occasional Special Event.
They must be making a fortune. ;)
It's definitely an interesting theory. If they have more newer players than older players I can see why they'd take a break from level updates.
As far as the donut theory goes. Well I'm a little spilt. I did talk a lot about them having too many premiums for new players to even think of buying without getting at least some free donuts which seems like they've heard me out. And I also see how that would entice newer players to pay a little to get limited time items, but all it takes is a 5 minute forum visit to know limited doesn't mean limited.
I just hope they don't forget about us, older players and we get a new level soon.
Would be more fun if it was level 69 though :twisted:Phinnea wrote:
I think they stopped at 59 just to annoy those of us that bothers!
Lmfao! I'd love them to make a comment about that in level 60s dialogue. It would be priceless.
It doesn't personally bother me that we didn't get level 60. I was just a bit surprised it's been that long. I have no reason to complain. These events are longer and have way more things to get than levels so technically they're better.
I was just pointing out the fact that it's been pretty much 4 months and still nothing since the new year started. I hope they're alright. It would stink if they're overworking the developers to death.- KrustyBrand, interesting thought. You might be right. But as we all say, STOP AT AN EVEN NUMBER! 60 is good for like minutes in an hour evenness. If they have to leave it odd, then 69 will do, I concur. It would be cruel for them to continue just to stop at 61....

They appear to someone into all the pleasures. I bet they find 59 to be even more sexual than 69. What kind of position is that? ;)heyababy47428 wrote:
