- The way I see it is that every game is fun for only so long, no matter how good it is. So, eventually, you would get fed up with it.
All in all, though, this event is decent, but not my favorite so far. They still have a wheel, it just doesn't spin, and it is indeed way too focused on friends... which is quite the trend now in this game. I'm sure this is their way to get more people to play, and get more money... But it is a company, and that's what companies want, money. It's the people who MAKE the game itself that are groaning when they have to do something like this. - mwdaltonNew Spectator

You can see the writers trying to make light of it too, which I find quite amusing  mwdalton wrote:

I love that!
(Welcome to the wide world of typos. I'm Ningyo, and I'll be your host tonight.... ;)- People should really stop complaining. You are playing a game, for over two years now, that is completely free and can be played without spending any donuts.
As players we are entitled to NOTHING. EA does give a very large a'ount of free content. Even now, with easter. Blocko Store, Johnny Fiestas, Banana Republic, Shary Bobbins, Hugs Bunny... The list goes on. And all of it is FREE.
So you can not have it all? I cal BS. We are 1/3!!! In to the event. I got absolutely nothing the first six days, what was really frustrating. But then, in a matter of a couple of days i got Banana Rublic, Johnny Fiesta, Hugs Bunny, Blocko Store, Bunny #...
So it is very likeley i will get everything without spending donuts. Given i won nothing good in the first week, you can be sure that persistent players will get everything at the end of the event.
Now for the event itself:
Easter, based on eggs. Good thing. The event has an excellent questline and tapping the bunnies is amusing. The event heavily relies on neighbours, wich is good. Tapped Out is a social game and this event gives the social aspect a boost. We are seeing good prices, some nice decorations which can be used all year.
We can also get free baskets multiple a day which costs 10 donuts, normally and give us heaps of eggs. Again, good call.
People who are spending donuts on the event have problems. They have either too much money which is good for them, or they are very impatient. Some want it all very fast, so they can then complain on the forum that the event must end because there is nothing to do,
In conclusion: good event. Better than Valentines. - Wijsheid, you are mostly right. My personal idea is that I wish they came up with a better way than a wheel to distribute the prizes, and I have a friend who isn't all that social and doesn't want to get deep into that part of the game. So I differ on those points a bit.
But where you are truly right is that you can play this game for free, and the complaining can get a bit thick. It hasn't been too bad in this thread, though. And I LOVE that many prizes will get Grampa saying "Oh, it's better than complaining!" And that HAS to be because of so many of the forum comments. :) - mwdaltonNew Spectator

I was thinking that the other day, but I didn't want to say anything, in case people got indignant over it  Wijsheid wrote:

Firstly, with what I spent I have a right to complain.
Secondly, EA just lost my future spends.
Thirdly, after some two odd years this is the first time I'm complaining, that has to mean something.
Finally, I'm not the only one that's had enough, worst update ever!- I think it's interesting that there were a lot of complaints about the Christmas wheel and the valentines wheel so they decided to give us 3 different equivalents with the wheel part graphically hidden that stops people saying the arrow is pointing a one prize but they got the other.

You do not have the right to complain because you spend actual money. That does not gove you rights.
Nobody forces you to spend money. Nobody. Freemium or premium, they are all equal.
I am a premium player, but my thought about it is that you should only spend money if you do not complain AND if you can easily afford it . We are both premium players, but you think you are better than freemiums because you spend money. I think i don't have the right to complain. No more than freemiums. And i have spend hundreds and hundreds of dollars.
If you are objective, you can rate the event as 'good'. Not excellent. Just fine.
If you are a greedy little impatient sour human beeing, you could say it is the worst.
But, I, I tend to enjoy a gme which has me keeping busy for over two years and gave me so much free content. I enjoy all the free items they offer like the blocko store, fiesta, Shary Bobbins... It takes effort, but that is how it should be if something is free.Wijsheid wrote:

This event has the potential of letting a lot of people invest a huge effort, and actually not getting anything but useless decorations... Sorry, but in that way, this event is just AWFUL! The majority of players are casual players, which probably don't invest too much time in this game, though still a significant part. To make an event that doesn't guarantee any good prize to any player, is a week marketing move. It demoralizes players.
I have opened nearly 50 boxes, which is a lot considering I haven't bought any boxes for donuts, and still haven't gotten a single character. That's ok for me at the moment, because I know I'll probably manage to open about 30-35 more boxes before this event ends, though if I go through more than 80 boxes without any of the characters, that just stinks... But my most important point, I needed to reach 35 boxes before I got a good prize in my common box, and 41 boxes before I got a good prize from the golden box. How many casual players will reach those amounts of boxes opened before this event ends?
Do you seriously think it's a good event if players invest a lot of time, and get nothing to show for it? Those players will be that more likely to either quit the game, or certainly a lot less likely to spend money on it... An event like this, that creates so much frustration and negativity, is very poor! Honestly it would have been better just having an Easter-themed level update than this event!
