Levelling up castles beyong level 20
If you level up Bart or Lisa's castle past 20, you get their walls - so yes, they would get some that cost donuts.

I cn spend some excess coins on them now. I have enough of everything else..... - Leveling up also increases the time you can defend. That is why I am waiting till tomorrow to spend my over 177,000 in elixir to get the walls.
