What is the "Daily training"? Do you have to reach a special "quest level" to do that?
It shows in the event menu if it is available. Can't remember which icon.- I don't know if this has been mentioned before, but the order in which you select your players before a game seems to be the exact order in which they appear on the field. So, it does make sense to select them in a strategic order.
The first idea that came to my mind was that it seems helpful to pair players of different levels with each other in order to make use of the switch button during the game.
For example: Let's say you have - like me - two 2-star players and two 1-star players. Don't select them in the order 2-2-1-1! Since the players appear in pairs of two on the field they would appear as 2-2 and 1-1, so the switch button becomes basically useless. It's way better to select them in a 2-1-2-1 or a 1-2-1-2 order.
And being able to switch can actually be quite helpful. Let's say you have a 2-1 pair on the field, but your opponent has a 3-1.5 star pair. Playing in this order you would lose both rounds, but if you switch your pair to 1-2, you can actually secure at least one point.
Don't know if that makes any sense (please point out any mistake if you find one ;-) ), but as a rule of thumb it certainly seems to make sense to pay attention to the order in which you select your player, so that you can react more flexibly to the strength of your opponent. ;-) bud2046 wrote:

Makes sense to me. Thanks for the strategy - I wish there was a way to get more Amatuer Bucks.

Has anyone seen or read about the payouts for winning matches? I'm sure they differ from your town to friends town to random town. I'm also curious about the bonuses and the payouts for wins, losses, and ties.
This is what i've seen so far.
Win: 10 bucks, 60 foams
Tie: 1 buck, ?? foams (think it was 1)
Loss: 1 buck, ?? foams (think it was 1)
Difficulty bonus on win:
4 bucks per each star, 2 bucks for 1/2 star
1 star - 4 bucks, 20 foam
1 1/2 - 6 bucks, 25 foam
2 stars - 8 bucks
2 1/2 - 10 bucks
3 stars - 12 bucks
3 1/2 stars - 14 bucks
4 stars - 16 bucks
4 1/2 stars - 18 bucks
5 stars - 20 bucks, 60 foam
Looks like foam increments by 5 per each 1/2 star so far
Difficulty bonus on loss: ???
Need confirmation

Agreed. They should have made them come from friend visits.- I have three towns (town A, town B and town C) this led me to the following conclusion (I don't have random data beyond that random towns kept being very high ranked so I haven't tried them, will update in 3 hours 30 minutes)
Basically, it's better to win the battles and using the random town function kept taking me to 5 star towns so it's better to battle neighbors (unless the payouts for randoms is better (need another 3 hours to check))
town C still had to win the single player in town game (it keeps getting a tie)
Tie rewards (for a single player game in town 5 tix 40 fingers
with a bonus of 4 tix 20 fingers (town C is a 1star town)
town B battled town A (town B was a 1.5 star town with an extra upgraded player over town A which was also a 1.5 star town)
Town B beat Town A 3-1
reward 10tix/60 fingers
bonus 6tix/25 fingers
(note when I went back into town B, I got a popup of a daily win bonus (it said 1st win of the day) of 75tix/150 fingers)
I then logged into town A to see if there was any benefit gained from the battle
Popup: Defensive Game 1 loss 1tix/1finger (if there was more than one person who battled you you'd see the number of wins losses ties with a total reward)
then I set town A to battle town B (which was stronger because it just upgraded players from the win above, I was expecting a loss)
Result: town A lost 1-3 Reward 2 tix/30fingers bonus 6tix/25fingers (the defensive win for town B was 3tix/4 fingers so basically offensive player gets more rewards from the battle regardless of win or loss
then I got a popup from Flanders that asked if I wanted revenge. It took me to a submenu of the game (tapball icon>scroll down the menu on the left hand side until you get the scoreboard graphic (it has an orange card with a number and a blue card)). tapping that lets you choose a rematch (I don't know if this shows you neighbors who visited you or people you've battled earlier in the day, I also don't know if there's a limit to the number of towns you can see in career stats.
tldr- need data on random town battled (will try at 3pm eastern) but for right now:
battle neighbors simply because you can choose someone who has fewer stars than you (this makes it more likely you'll win and helps out the players who have lower level towns with a couple of loss tickets, people with higher level towns can already get lots of tickets from battling people so I'm not too worried about them missing 1-3 tickets)
if the random battle payouts are better this strategy might change (will update with more numbers later nissa762 wrote:

If you confirm these numbers, I'll add them to my original post!- I have a question please......
Does sending players on other tasks preventthem taking part in a match? I dont want to try it yet since I am just starting the event. I could do with all characters earning amateur bucks while still playing matches :-)

Not on the opponent side at least. Marge was on a job but she battled Homer.
As for home side I am not sure. Gut says yes thus why the gatorade/tired countdown timer. Can anyone confirm?
