I noticed when I visited my neighbors that I could tap on buckets too !!

and helping each other . Like in the good old days … - I suspect the buckets in neighbor towns are just a graphics glitch, but it is possible there's more...
...in past events, tapping these things accelerated their timers, so neighbors could collect earlier than expected. Idk if this is active at this time.
