- I lost over 100 donuts. Boycotting the game until the issue is solved.

When the last missing donut issue arose everyone lost the same amount so crediting that back was straightforward. This time each customer complaining has a different loss. I wonder if they think us UK tappers will just give up. We don't have the option of a call like in the U.S. Seems a bit unfair.
I got the case closed email last night just like I did a couple of weeks ago. I did get those donuts restored but I don't think these are coming back. Too many people have gotten refunds - they wouldn't want to give everyone double donuts.
Dw iam the same, I haven't had mine restored either. Iam quite patient but when I see others getting there's returned I asked ea and all they could say is it will get fixed but could tell me why others have already been refunded but I haven't. I tend to stand up for ea as my brother worked for them for years and I have good responses to issues in the past but iam getting quite frustrated as to why some have recieved a refund and others have not.johncolombo wrote:

Is there precedent for a past incident that caused this many donuts to vanish from people before? We are taking hundreds for some, so this might be uncharted territory. That said, I have not been playing as long as most others so that's a legitimate question if there has been a bug this damaging before.
I can't see how EA would get by with just fixing the glitch without returning the missing donuts, especially since some are being told just that.
Really hope the resulting fix doesn't hurt us who kept playing tab ball for some of those bonuts.
If anyone else hears of a rollback, btw, please mention it here. On the edge if I want to spend the donuts now rather than risk the chance there might be a roll back and they are gone.- I can't see any feasible or easy way for them to overcome the doughnut loss for everyone. Personally I think they should just credit everyone 200 doughnuts and say, sorry for all the screw ups! Here's your reward for sticking with us. And let's face it, with the cost of this game, 200 doughnuts is really only like 1 big item. Maybe 1 big and 1 small item; that's it.
- Think your selves lucky I have lost over 400 donuts and I think it way more I had about 2900 and now I am down to 2090! I brought the 2 new donut buildings for the new area but I have not spent any since!

Last time I brought 2400 x2 I didn't get them and it took 2 days on the phone with some tech support and over 4 hours and they still couldn't fix it , they just didn't have a clue, I will wait untill a week day and ring, I am from Australia so on the weekends it just goes to some generic call centre! - It's been like two days and I STILL don't have them back yet!

That's actually a very well thought idea - it's a win-win. :) Those who have lost donuts, earned tap ball bonuts, and recently bought donuts are mostly covered - and with no negative consequences too.
Now if only EA could see this. *waves for attention*- I'm in the US and I didn't get my donuts back during my very polite and friendly chat. I also received an e-mail saying my issue was resolved and my ticket closed. So, it's not just the non-US players who apparently need to wait. I lost ~100 donuts so maybe it's the qty of donuts that determines whether or not we're told to wait for an update instead of getting an immediate refund. :?:
- I have now had my donuts restored. Grumbled very politely to EA about my case being marked as resolved when it wasn't and how it appeared that there wasn't a consistent response. Was given an extra 3/6 donuts for my trouble. Patch is supposedly imminent. Being very careful not to investigate land expansion in SH now as that's how I lost them!

EA DOES keep a record of your donuts. I had to contact Customer Support a few weeks ago with an issue and the representative reeled off a list of how many donuts I had, how much money I'd spent buying them, how much in-game money I had, etc.
They do keep a record of this stuff, I just think that most of them don't know how to access it.
So it should be fairly simple for the devs to write a routine to parse all our game databases and check for missing donuts. Bought + won - spent = number missing.
And to keep this on topic: I just lost 2 donuts. I was doing my friend actions and heard a harp strum. "Something must have happened back in Springfield..." So I went to my town and several Goal Completed pop ups popped up, and amidst them I hit the XP Bonus Level Up and got 2 donuts (I didn't try for 3, I'm cash shy from buying several plots of land). Then I went back to my Friend Actions... And then thought to check my donut count. Two donuts shy.
