Update nuked my sign in?

It sounds like an issue with space on your device. Uninstall the game, make sure you have at least a gig and a half free, and redownload the game. If the patch this aft caused the game to try to reload, and you didn't have enough space you will be stuck in limbo.

I have 5.24G left so lots of room. I didn't want to reinstall as last time I had to fight EA on lost/missing items

worked for a day then BANG.. Cant login again... Seems to happen at home vs Work now...
Grr... off to tech support forum to see if anyone else is having this issue....

Mine has told me twice tonight that I've been signed out and have to sign back in. Don't think that's ever even happened to me once before.

Haven't been able too login all day..

Have you tried all the common fix things such as restarting the device you play on, uninstall/reinstall of the game (only if you have an origin account ) and finally restarting your Internet router.

Mine has now just kicked me out of the game as I was in my town, with a "failed to save, another device has signed in" message.

I just had this exact thing happen. When I signed into my town again, everything seemed ok. But...who's the other device??? Do I need to put tape over the lens now? Better do my televisions and microwave too. >:)

Just had this happen twice this morning.
