- i have 2 things regretted buying...
1. Ferris Wheel... Most buildings are only available one. I thought it was a system glitch when it is available again after my first purchase, so I went ahead and bought a second Ferries Wheel. Little did I know that it's an unlimited regular building in TSTO menu. Sigh!
2. Hover-copter... It was a prize for an event. I can't finish drafting it, so I spent 200-300 donuts to speed up the event to earn this prize. After the event ended, it was available for sale at less than 100 donuts.... Arghhhhh! - I regret buying the Springfield Sign... Don't bother buying it!
- It was the Raven , I purchased it accidentally. There was no conformation for sales yet implemented when I did this. :(
- Regret wasting donuts on Santa's Little Helper
He's so small and pointless - would probably take me 10 minted to find him if I tried - Spending donuts on mystery boxes. I was so excited they put decent premium prizes in the mystery boxes and thought I couldn't wait for them so there went the donuts. Stupid stupid stupid. :(
- bought a tennis court for 35 d'nuts...
then crafted another 40 for free... - The Laffy Meal is the worst thing to spend donuts on. I got 1000 tickets for 25 donuts.
You aren't going to get the Eyeballs of Death or Mt. Krustmore for cheap. - Homer's helper monkey. It was released a day or two after I unlocked Stampy the elephant, so I assumed it would have missions too and bought it on a whim. But alas, it's just a walking decoration.

This Halloween, I bought the UFO, because I thought I needed it to get Kodos... it's cool, but pretty much a waste of donuts, since I didn't need it at all, and it's not very useful.
The UFO wasn't all that bad of a buy. It gives both Kang and Kodos each a 16 hour task, as well as a 10 hour joint task. All of which are visual tasks with awesome animations (in my opinion). I bought it once I found out that Kodos was craftable so I wouldn't need to spend those donuts I had been saving up.
My worst was probably buying some mystery boxes when I first started out (this was before the revised mystery box). Yay, 6 donuts for a parking lot! Or accidentally speeding up the brown house.- mikepellerin60Seasoned NewcomerI first posted to this thread when it was just:
Worst... Buy... Ever? with no poll.
Now the poll has been added, and bears the title:
Your biggest rip off, what type of purchase was it?
Seriously? Rip Off? How is a purchase you voluntarily made, a Rip Off?
Does the OP even know what Rip Off means?
rip-off
noun informal
noun: rip-off; plural noun: rip-offs; noun: ripoff; plural noun: ripoffs
a fraud or swindle, especially something that is grossly overpriced.
"designer label clothes are just expensive rip-offs"
synonyms: fraud, cheat, deception, swindle, confidence trick; informalcon, scam, flimflam, gyp, rip, gouge, shakedown, bunco
"the insurance policy turned out to be a rip-off"
an inferior imitation of something.
"rip-offs of all the latest styles"
I'm sure the OP didn't mean it, but it's negative connotations like these that bring down the level of the Forum. It's also comments like these that have prompted many a long time Forum Member to leave.
Pick your words wisely.
