Zombie Sandwich Glitch & EA Help - What a joke!
Like many of you, I don’t have all the zombies (3 out of 5) and have been missing those 2 for years.
I was hoping EA would finally fix this long-standing glitch this Hallowe’en, so was pleased to see the Zombie Sandwich bin would be in the Mystery Box. Did they fix it?
Of course not. Event starts, no Zombie Sandwich.
So I raised a case with EA on Wednesday afternoon. On Saturday, I had an automated email from EA asking if my case had been sorted yet (don’t you know? It’s your system, take a look - no, it hasn’t!).
Then I get another EA email, asking if I’d answer four questions about my case. I follow the link and the first question asks if my case has been solved (didn’t I just tell you no?). So I tick No… and the survey closes and other three questions never appear.
This morning I check My Cases and it says Fixed. I go into my game… and of course it’s not fixed. Someone has changed the status to Fixed, probably just to help meet a target.
Irritated, I find the phone number for EA Help and call it. It starts by saying the call will be recorded for training and monitoring purposes, then tells me no one can take my call and hangs up on me.
So now I’ve raised another case to cover the case that was falsely marked as fixed that wasn’t fixed. My expectations are zero, but you have to play the game.
Considering the business model of this game has changed to one where you have to purchase character + 132 donuts packages six times a year, that level of customer support is terrible.
Do I think EA will read this and reach out to me? Of course not. They only respond to glitches where they lose large amounts of revenue.
I only write this to assure others who are also zombie glitched that they’re not alone.
