This could be our best opportunity to push for true triple-monitor support in EA SPORTS WRC. Assetto Corsa Competizione (ACC), another Unreal Engine 4 racing game, successfully implements triple-monitor support using a free Unreal Engine plugin.
This is excellent news for several reasons:
- The plugin is freely available, avoiding additional licensing costs.
- There’s no need to develop triple-monitor functionality from scratch.
- It has already been proven to work reliably in a highly regarded racing game.
True triple-monitor support would be a game-changer for EA SPORTS WRC. Many racing enthusiasts invest in triple-screen setups to achieve the most immersive and realistic driving experience possible. Unlike stretched multi-monitor solutions, true triple-monitor support allows for independent rendering on each screen, ensuring accurate perspectives, proper field-of-view adjustments, and minimized distortion—especially in cockpit view.
By supporting this feature, EA SPORTS WRC could appeal directly to the sim racing community and solidify its reputation as a serious title in the genre. Since the groundwork for implementation already exists within Unreal Engine, this would be a cost-effective and impactful enhancement. Adding true triple-monitor support would elevate immersion and set EA SPORTS WRC apart as a leader in rally racing simulation.
Same here, I believe that without triple screen support EA is missing out a lot. Note also the recent surge in rally capabilities/features from other sims that have triple screen support such as RBR, Assetto Corsa, Beam NG and AMS2 (rally cross).
What I do not get is how EA keeps investing time in new stages for DLCs when they could invest some time in this feature which would result in a huge uptake of current DLCs and new users who have triples.
