AI Crashes, helicopters and drones

It would be great if they implemented crashes or engine failures or something like that in the game by the AI. Currently it seems that you compete against no one, but rather generated results where you do continuous time attacks. I think it would be a good idea or even necessary to give life to the stages. I still remember, how in the WRC Rally evolved for the PlayStation 2, it already had these characteristics. We're talking about a game from 2005!

Even when you approached the public, they moved away, and when you approached an accident there was a marshall warning and people around the accident car. Also, we don't have any kind of crowd sound, no helicopters and drones, no flashes of cameras, nothing.

I mean, implementing these things that give life to the stages is necessary, since we are already in 2023. I ask and even beg the developers to implement a rally atmosphere in the game.

  • @ivancunat96 I also don't get it either. We had it in every other DiRT title and the WRC games had it too.
We also don't have the starting sequence anymore where we see cars in front of ours launching into the stage and a few cars behind us too.
Personally my wet dream would be that just like IRL the opponents are actually driving on stage. And dynamically if the encounter a problem you would maybe get to overtake them going extremely slow. Or you could be hindered by their kicked up dust too. Or if you're going way too slow you'd get overtaken by others too.
    One can only dream....

Totally agree! if I remember correctly, Dirt Rally had exactly that T.T You could even overtake them. And for today's games it is not overly complicated to integrate 20 vehicles (output per minute) on the map. There are no stages more time-consuming than 20 - 25 min, so I think it is very feasible, and integrating that, this game would be a masterpiece

It remains to be mentioned that it would be great to choose the amount of tire type before the rally, something that happened in previous video games.

  • MORE IDEAS

    Career Mode / Championship Mode:

    • Remake the WRC class standings to a multi-class WRC standings like in real life (Rally1 + Rally2). It must be remembered that if, for example, Mikkelsen finishes 4th in the overall classification, he also takes 12 points for the WRC, in addition to what corresponds in WRC2.
    • The leaderboard screen could have more information, for example being able to see the points breakdown per rally.

    Editor:

    • The editor could be more detailed, being able to mirror the layers to the other side, or add coordenates X Y.

    Atmosphere:

    • Add crowd sounds, horns, drones...
    • It doesn't look like the AI can be retired. It would add some immersion to see some abandonment or a broken down car in a ditch, some little crash, or somethink like that.
