Option for "Hardcore" physics

Having an option to pick that causes the tires to not be as glued to the road would be (in my mind) a massive draw for people from the RBR world who are looking at WRC23.

The option would make fresh tires feel more like heavily worn tires from the get go.

My justification for this ask is that on gravel the cars only really behave when they are being pushed to 100%.  Anything slower and the cars feel like they're on rails, until you go past the peak.

Snow right now feels more like gravel, and gravel feels like sealed surface (not tarmac).

Tarmac is worlds better than DR2.0, and the wet weather is great.  My only sticking points are I can slam the brakes from full speed and stop the car on snow/gravel in an unrealistically short distance, and that the cars stick in a groove until you start to overdrive then it's mayhem. Having a more realistic grip change would cure this.

The option to not have hard-core still leaves the drivers who are chasing the fun factor to enjoy the game, instead of riding the struggle bus.

  • agree, it is almost impossible flip the car. it feels like there is a auto balancing safe net that protects you.

just try to to flip the car, it is crazy not real

  • For sure.  The cars are connected to loose surface far to well. Having grown up driving gravel, or snow laden roads with everything from dirt bikes to side by sides to work trucks (sometimes not exactly at the prescribed speed limits) I can say comfortably that the grip on non engineered roads is not realistic, and if anything it encourages an overzealous approach to corners where the car should be flying off into the woods.
