I play this on PS5 and i noticed that this game doesn’t support VRR I own a tv that does and it doesn’t make a difference if it is on or not. It is a shame that after all this time there is still screentearing and a lot of pop-up (in replays) It still doesn’t feel finnished.

I really don't know how it works on consoles, it seems that the draw distance and some other settings are CPU heavy, not the strongest feature on consoles, even on the pro. And instead of droping the framerate to 30 on CPU bottenecks (which would be what normal vsync does), it just disables any sync and allows it to "screentear"...
But hey, that's just my theory, I have no idea! Hope they find a way to fix it though, the game is sick.
Obs.: On PC when it drops, it gets locked to 30fps until you enter the menus or restart... Or you have to enter the graphics menu before every race to, maybe, prevent it from happening mid stage.

My theory is it's to do with how they did the lighting, that's why in towns it's bad because of the shadows and more light sources. A town shouldn't take up much CPU because it's just a bunch of hollow polygons, that's why some towns on some maps like Mexico are fine but others like Corsica are terrible. They need to rework the lighting, that will even solve the problem of people complaining about the graphics, because sometimes the game looks real when the lighting is right, other times it looks awful and washed out in bad lighting.
