EA Anti-Cheat will not start/run preventing WRC to load.

EA Anti-Cheat will not start/run preventing WRC to load.

Original problem: WRC Loading Problem Description: Open EA App, go to Library, select WRC and click PLAY; game begins loading by displaying WRC screen, that screen disappears for a few second then reappears then the game crashes when the EA Sports Intro screen starts to play, no error messages, it just shuts down and goes back to EA App Home Page.

After many chat sessions and troubleshooting it appears the issue is the EA Anti-Cheat Service. 

When trying to start Anti-Cheat I continually get a Windows error message saying, "Windows could not start the EAAntiCheat service on Local Computer. Error 87: The parameter is incorrect." If trying to start WRC it appears to start but when the EA Sports Get In The Game intro starts, it just shuts down.

Seeking assistance or help if anyone has experienced and solved the issue.

    Thanks, just saw another post where updating Nvidia graphics driver to 561.09 solved his issue. Trying that now.

    Updated Nvidia graphics driver to 561.09 but ANti-Cheat and WRC still fail to load ☹️

    I always do a clean install using the Nvidia installer. I did not use DDU for this particular graphics driver update. I am convinced the issue is related to the last WRC game update that "broke" EA Anti-Cheat so it will not start and thus WRC will not load either. I also have two laptops that I tried downloading and installing the EA App and WRC with the same result.

    same issue here

    the only solution I found was to move the game installation directory on the C:\ system disk.

    Therefore this is an issue with access rights of the EAAntiCheat windows Service when the game is installed on another disk.

    I'm not a windows's file system specialist, but for them, it would be cool to explain what's the basic reason (I understand it might not be solvable on EA's side though)

    I have the same issue. But a bit different. My screen just blacks out and stays there forever without error message. I have also noticed in the task manager > services, EAAnti cheat service is STOPPED. And I am not being able to start it. It automatically stops. Any solution please share.

    This issue was fixed with the last hotfix. Can you please open a new thread giving us all the necessary data so we can try to help or escalate it?
