Same problem here.
Brief hardware info:
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X
Mobo: MSI MPG B550 GAMING EDGE WIFI
Memory: G.SKILL Trident Z Neo DDR4 3600MHz 32 GB (4x8GB)
Graphics: MSI RX 6800 XT GAMING X TRIO 16G
Drive: SSD, Samsung SSD 980 PRO 1TB (the game is installed on this drive)
Windows 10 Pro 64-bit Ver.22H2 (OS build 19045.4780)
AMD Chipset driver 6.07.22.037
AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition 24.7.1
The only thing I did was update to new Ryzen Master version 2.14.0.3205 and some Windows update and the game stopped working.I still can see WRC and EA anti-cheat processes running in Task Manager but nothing is actually happening.
And now I am on the same boat. WRC launches, intro movie starts and crashes immediately. It was working fine a week ago, only thing changed was windows update. All the suggestions here I already tried to no avail…
On Steam Deck it also stopped working.

I HAVE FOUND A FIX ON MY END. This is most definitely a bug introduced with update 1.9, and Codemasters needs to see this and address this across their social channels.
What was wrong: I had Steam installed on my B: drive, which is a 4TB HDD. Windows is installed on my primary C: drive, which is a 1TB SSD. I had a folder on my C: drive for games that I wanted to boot from an ssd that I named "SteamGamesSSD" and WRC was one of these. I had been using this file system method for years, and I had been able to boot WRC from this location since I bought the game on Day 1.
To summarize the issue: Windows installed on main C drive, Steam itself was installed on secondary B drive, and WRC was installed on C drive.
What I did to fix: I moved my steam installation folder over to my main C: drive, and then put the games from my SteamGamesSSD folder into the "correct" filepath. Basically, you need to put WRC in its most "default" file location possible.
Your WRC file HAS to have this EXACT file path for it to run NOT UP FOR DEBATE: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\EA SPORTS WRC
If your game is not in this "default" file path, it will not boot.
- @TheDirtyDan18 It works, it really works! Thanks a lot! The game must be installed on the same drive with Steam client.

I have WRC installed on my C-drive in the right folder, but still no go.
Come on F- this, it's been a month and EA is doing nothing, but taking our money. - herve0692 years agoRising Rookie
Doesn't work for me too

And if you got the game from EA directly ? I tried all kind of installation by now and nothing, nothing makes it work. It stills look like the EAanticheat is looking for an non-existing Origin launcher. This is just unacceptable, even your "solution". What year are we ? '86 ?
Yep, mine worked on Saturday the 25th of August. Doesn't work today.

Hello! 🙂
I would like to ask for your help:
since yesterday I can't start EA Sports WRC.
The splash screen jumps in, the white-gray strip below shows that it goes through, but the thing dies there.
In 392.5 hours of playing, this has never happened before, and now I'm a little confused.
- I bought it on Steam.
- I can't install it on C.
- It is on a SATA3 SSD, I have no possibility to install it on another. Hello EA Support! Anything on this topic? Just, an we are working on it?
