Fanatec BMW Clubsport GT2 V2 buttons is not working in menu - PS5

I'm having a similar problem. Playing on PC/Steam, using a Fanatec CSL DD with McLaren GT3 v2 wheel. The game detects the wheel, and during gameplay everything functions as expected. But I'm unable to navigate the menus with the wheel, as neither the funkyswitch (d-pad) nor the buttons themselves will do anything. Especially problematic is that I can't even pause the game from the wheel...I have to keep a keyboard nearby and hit Escape, which is rather inconvenient.

When I look at the devices that the game has detected, it shows my wheel and a keyboard. If I look at the list of keyboard bindings, there are entries for menu navigation. But the wheel has no such entries when I look at its bindings list.

I had the same issues, put your wheel base in compatibility mode then relaunch the game and it should be sorted

Actually the first link that OP mentioned has the solution that worked for me. You just need to make a couple of quick modifications to an XML file and then the wheel is detected and all of the buttons become functional and are able to be used for menu navigation. 

I also encounter the same problem , ps5 fanatec csl elite BMW GT2 V2 and buttons don’t work in menus 

I also have the same problem. Fanatec Gran Turismo DD Pro, with a BMW Clubsport GT2 V2 steering wheel on a PS5. The wheel works, but the buttons aren't functional. That said, the Gran Tursimo wheel that came with the base works...but I FAR prefer the diameter of the Clubsport wheel. 

Csl elite steering wheel wrc doesn’ t work on ps5 too with gt dd pro

Hi, My Fanatec Csl Elite wheel will not navigate the menus in game. Works fine on PS5 Menu and on other games but not WRC. On the control menu it recognizes the wheel pedals and handbrake and shows inputs when you move wheel / pedals ect but won't all you to navigate menu or start game. When I connect PS5 controller the X button appears on screen to start game but not with wheel.
