[Old Report] 63 FPS Cap with Fanatec CSL Elite Pedals

Hello,

I have a Logitech G29 Wheel and I use CSL Elite Pedals via USB adapter.

I have been scratching my head since launch as my GPU and CPU utilisation has been low while only outputting 63fps absolute max despite there being no FPS cap outside of the game (Nvidia Control Panel for example) and having a 144hz Monitor which for context, runs F1 23 over 63fps with this wheel and pedal setup without any issues.

My OS is detecting my Monitor as 144hz and as mentioned, other games run up to 144hz no problem. I tried unplugging my USB adapter today and suddenly my GPU and CPU is being used and WRC is outputting 144 FPS then when I plug the pedals back in, the game drops back down to 63fps.

I don't have the ability to plug the pedals into the base as the wheel itself is a Logitech G29, the wheels and pedals work perfectly in game and I have no issues with the control, the game also picked them up without any issues at launch but for some reason the pedals are limiting the performance of the game?

Any help would be appreciated,

@SaxOHare Fanatec V3 pedal when is unplugged, fps goes from 90fps to 140+.
C'mon EA, we need a fix!
  • Well, we are onto season 2 and another patch, still with no fix.

Still capped, any updates on this at all?

  • I also have this problem. I am using Thrustmaster TX + Fanatec CSL Elite v2 via USB. Tried different ports and all but issue persists. When I plug pedals in I have capped 83 fps in game, in menu I have 120 lol. After unpluging I have 100 fps in game. It is a joke game. It runs terrible which is funny because it looks terrible too...

  • Well, it's 2024, no fix, no acknowledgement of the issue.

I am really happy I got early access for this game.

  • Hi,

I found a solution (what appears to be) to this FPS cap issue.

That is to change the polling rate of the pedal to 1000Hz using hidusbf.

    Link:https://github.com/LordOfMice/hidusbf

Please research the detailed method yourself. This software is used to change the polling rate of gamepads, so there should be information on how to use it.

Also, I have not yet been able to verify any negative effects on gameplay with this solution. At least in my environment, I have confirmed that 84fps has increased to around 144fps.

Finally, I am not an English speaker and this is a post created using google translate. I apologize for the unnatural English expression.

I hope your fps cap improves.
