PS5 please fix the ‘overexposure’ problem

Has anyone got the same problem as me? I have a HDR tv (TCL) and i know it isn’t a very capable one because it hardly can produce 400 nits. This is the reason why all my games don’t look better with the HDR enabled. EXCEPT for WRC? WRC still (after patch 1.5) looks overexposed when HDR is disabled and so the ONLY game i play with HDR enabled, while i do have to turn down the brightness to 35, it does not have the ‘overexposure’ effect anymore and the colours look WAY better. Please Codemasters, can you fix this? Or can you add a GAMMA settings option? I can imagine that people without a HDR tv or a tv like mine are having this problem too. I only have this issue with EA WRC!

Cheers!

  • I own a HDR TV, and have run the game with and without HDR, it's decent in both, at least I have no overexposure issue.

I know that some TV setting simulate HDR when the source doesn't run it, mine has that possibility but I permanently disable it. Have you tried that ?

Yeah i know what you mean. I never use HDR so i disabled it on my PS5.I can’t disable it on my tv. But strangely enough, the overexposure only occurs with WRC. All the other games i own look great (even better) without HDR and not have the ‘overexposure’ problem. WRC is still playable but all the white’s are way too white.
    Thanks fot the reply. Cheers
