That works fine to have the right steering wheel button mappings. Unfortunately although the gears are mapped to the shifter gears, they do not work. I cannot bind my shifter gears. I click bind, move the shifter, nothing happens ..

Same for me. Really sad I cant enjoy the game without the TH8A . That was working fine on Dirt Rally 2.0

The Logitech h pattern shifter does not work at all either. No inputs from shift and cannot bind using the gears. 

I am having the same issue with the Logitech Shifter as well.  The game is not recognizing that there is a secondary device attached to the wheel.

I use the TH8A shifter as a handbrake and same as you it’s not recognised on this game for the PS5. EA sports are to busy promoting the game than help with issues. 

yup, same problem for me. Shifter not recognised. Guess I'll be using paddle shifters on my lancia until EA get it fixed....

Idem pour moi j'utilise le Shifter th8a connecté en usb sur ps5 car j'ai un volant fanatec.

Il n'est pas reconnu alors que sur Dirt Rally 2.0 cela fonctionne très bien.

Allez-vous prévoir dans une future mise à jour une comptabilité en usb sur ps5?

idem sur PS5, volant t300rs, un th8a sur la base qui fonctionne en séquentiel, le second est branché en USB pour le frein a main mais n'est pas reconnu ! impossible d'apprécié le jeu sans frein a main ?  j'espère une mise a jour rapidement. 

j ai un problème avec le TH8A desfois il marche et pendant la course il se déconnecte plusieurs fois 

le volant est un TGT 1 et j utilise le TM sim hub pour le TH8A et 2 TSS handbrake ( sequentiel et freins a mains )

It also detects the TSS Handbrake, but I don't have one.

My TH8A shifter connected to TS-XW base on XSX is detected and works fine. I use it as a handbrake (4th gear).

Any help for us that can’t bind the TH8A shifter as a handbrake on the T300. TH8A plugged into USB port on PS5. TH8A not been recognised on EA sports WRC. No issues with the same set up on Dirt2.0. If I plug the TH8A directly into the T300 base via the din cable the TH8A shifter is picked up but only as a sequential like the paddle shift. So if I bind the TH8A as a handbrake now it’s showing up as the paddle shift icon. Basically saying the up paddle shift is now a handbrake. Can anyone at all help as I can’t enjoy the game 

Dear Barry, unfortunately these guides doesn't work. I just bought all new Thrustmaster's TSS Sparco Mod+ handbrake because I thought that my old TH8A shifter is unrecognizable. Now it seems that only my Thrustmaster T300 RS is working properly with T3PA-Pro pedals but there are no solution for handbrake. 

What makes this very embarrassing (in my opinion) is that you still inform these combinations as working on your device list even though they clearly don't work. At least that's what I've read on various forums. Of course, I understand that the game is new, but it's irresponsible to claim that things work if they don't. Personally, I'll give you another chance because the game is great, but someone a little more troublemaker person might even demand compensation from you if they went to buy a new device for this game and eventually it doesn't work...

Deux th8a, un en sequenciel et lautre en H, et 4eme en frein a main 

Hi Barry. The issue isn’t the rim. It’s the fact that this game isn’t picking the TH8A via the usb port on the PS5. Most of us have the standard rim that come with the T300. It’s been weeks now and still no help on solution. If we plug the TH8A directly into the T300 din input  it’s been picked up only as a up/down sequential shifter. You can’t bind this as a handbrake as you’re loosing your paddle shift then. 
we use the TH8A as a handbrake. If I’m doing something wrong in set up fair enough but can’t see the light yet. Any help ?

Any update for TH8A shifter not been recognise via the USB post on PS5. Works fine on dirt rally 2.0 were I could bind the shifter as a handbrake. Can’t do it this time. Been week now.

I had the same issue but found a solution. The TH8A needs to be plugged into the DIN input on the T300 base. If the sequential TH8A plate is on the shifter it will only pick up the shifter as a paddle shift so you can’t bind this as a handbrake. You need to swap the sequential plate for the H pattern plate. Once this is done your TH8A is now recognised as a H pattern gearstick. Go into bindings and unbind 4th gear. Go to handbrake and bind Handbrake as 4th gear. So now when you pull down on 4th you have a handbrake. You then need a pull cord or alastic band to allow the stick to pop out of 4th once pulled. If you don’t do this the stick will stay in 4th in other words handbrake will stay on unless put back in the neutral position. Also cover up the 3rd gear slot to stop the pull code pushing the stick into 3rd

We are lot of gamers that uses th8a sequential as handbrake and for the moment, it's a real déception.

Many gamers don't buy ea WRC because this issue.

Another update for this one. After firmware update for my T300RS base everything seems to working fine. PS5 and Thrustmaster combination was the actual problem, because even though the steering wheel and pedals works just fine, but shifter / handbrake doesn't. Problem >> solution, please update the firmware and then everything rocks!!!
