Easy Anti Cheat Mute my game

Same sound card same problem cannot play apex legends no sound just loud squealing and freeze

After some research, it appears that the sound crash issue a few seconds after entering the game lobby stems from the latest EAC update. This crash, which requires a reboot to restore sound and therefore prevents the game from playing, affects the following sound card lines:

• Creative Labs 

Sound Blaster X-Fi (all cards)       Sound Blaster Audigy (all cards)

• Asus

Xonar (SE, AE, STX, ROG Phoebus, etc.)

OMG I am having the same issue. I was going crazy trying to figure it out.  All my other games works. Both EA and Steam versions are crashing with audio problems.

Last news!!!

Now we also have professional sound cards costing around $1,000 from RME brand, which are on EAC's blacklist. Who knows when this will start affecting graphics cards or controllers? Maybe they'll change.

My game is now working after the last update

It also affects my Thunderbolt PCIe card, which my sound card is connected to :(

Also happening to my system after an update in June.  The game is RUST, and definitively verified the cause is EAC; Facepunch has a test server that does not have EAC active, and this server works perfectly, no sound issues.  Any other server used (all of which are using EAC) will kill the sound card until next reboot.  I logged tickets with both Facepunch and EA, and have had zero actual help.
