Anti-air balancing

You need to do something about reworking anti-air and how attack helicopters and jets operate. It's extremely frustrating and ruins the game when you just keep getting trapped in your spawn by enemy attack helicopter that you can't blow up because it's moving too fast and the pilot just keeps dipping below 140 ft making it impossible to lock on with any anti-air rocket launchers which are absolutely pointless. The anti-air tanks are also pretty much useless because they don't do enough damage and you can never get a lock on or have both missiles hit so you continuously get blown up by enemy tanks and the enemy aircraft that you're trying to take down. The anti-aircraft tanks are useless, the c-ram in spawn is useless, the Stinger, and igla are useless. Absolute garbage game.

Blah Blah FKN Blah. That's not a bug, that's a skill issue. You getting wrecked by a helicopter is your and your team's fault. Nobody is painting targets, you're using the wrong tools, and you haven't mastered the aircraft yourself to have the fun we're having wrecking players like you. Go ahead, try flying and see how fast you get shot down. The time spent getting below radar in an aircraft is time spent doing nothing for the team.

You’re missing the point. If you think getting killed in spawn is a “skill issue,” you’ve got it backwards. The real problem is the losers who sit above spawn farming kills. If you need aircraft just to get kills because you sux in ground fights, that’s the real skill issue.

Honestly, there’s no better satisfaction than blowing a helicopter out of the sky with an RPG, because most of the other anti-air options  are useless. The game needs proper balance. When things aren’t balanced, players stop playing — and we’ve seen that happing now.

You've got it wrong if you think getting kills is what matters, which seems to be the biggest problem with this Battlefield title. People like yourself who care more about K/D than winning a match are why a lot of the true Battlefield players have stopped playing, among other issues. But I can tell you, balance is not one of them.

I did once have someone in a helicopter on Operation Firestorm, sitting high above, shooting jets and the helicopters as they spawned. It took a teammate to lock on to him to make him run away just long enough to get into a jet and blow him out of the sky. They also lost that match. I've been in plenty of matches where you just can't do anything in any aircraft because the 'TEAM' is doing as they should. It's very easy to make air vehicles completely useless in this game.

There are more COD players playing Battlefield than there are Battlefield players. If you can't tank, can't fly, and can only run-n-gun, COD is more for you. Battlefield takes an all-around player to have positive results.

Spawn camping (whether aircraft or not) is total BS. If you spawn and a helo takes you out immediately, that's not a lack of skill. Save that kind of play for TDM or COD.

I’m a pretty average player — I have my moments, but my K/D doesn’t mean alot to me. Still, it’s always nice to end a round with a positive one every now and then.

I’ve never played COD; been a Battlefield player since BF2. I haven’t bought every release in between, but I’ve played enough to know what Battlefield’s all about.

Not sure what platform you play on, but if you’re flying aircraft with mouse and keyboard kudos to you. EA has really dropped the ball for PC players, always leaving us at a disadvantage compared to controller users. No proper joystick support like the old Battlefield games either.

I’ve been flying in flight sims for years, so I know I wouldn't have trouble flying aircraft with joystick — how long I’d actually last is another question. If there Players like me can sometimes get lucky with RPG or TOW missiles , but that’s the point. Seems like that’s the only effective defense left, because honestly, the AA just usless.

Real disadvantage there, try locking ALL keyboard and mouse inputs to just 16 keys. Make reload, revive, use, arm and disarm to only one key. And do without the far more accurate aiming with a mouse, especially a high resolution mouse.
