I launch the game, make it past the queue and when I try to launch any mode it says its not installed. But it is fully installed. PC EA app.

Funny enough, EA won't even let me request a refund. Just to check my order history I again need to do 2FA and of course, no code is coming by email. I'm about 5 minutes away from disputing the charge on my card. What an embarrassing fumble by EA, they deserve a wall of chargebacks for being this incompetent
15 minutes later, 2FA code came through and I was able to request a refund. You have to choose a reason and none of them are "Game is not working" or similar - so I chose "I am having performance issues" as the closest option. Refund acknowledgement came in 2 minutes later though it can take up to 7 business days to process.
Going straight to Steam to buy and download now. Should have done that from the start. Never again EA, never again
