Preordered Phantom Edition weeks before release. Got up at 2am excited. Opened game, got to menu, met with "Purchase module to play". Tried all usual troubleshooting, watched forums for 7 hours.
The same story as everyone here. Been playing EA games since the 1980's on my Commodore 64 - yes, I'm a boomer xD and loved the franchise since BF1942.
EA... guys... this is NOT it. This isn't how you do business let alone reward your fanbase who could have gone and purchased from steam. If you promise compensation, deliver it. This whole silence thing isn't working, and soon I'll be among many others reaching out to government agencies like Fair Trade for assistance.
