Messing up the launch in this way on your own platform is one thing. Lying to your customers is something else entirely. Usually, you can only do that exactly once.

Does EAs management and marketing team really believe anyone who got screwed in this way is willing to spend additional money on this game? Does the "cost" for compensation really outweigh the bad PR and the increase in commission paid to steam for people distrusting the EA App from now on?!
