Another day, I’ve arrived at the office. The fog seeps through the cracks of the dirty windows, and the hallway clock marks an hour that never seems to move. On the desk, papers pile up like silent witnesses to an endless wait. I’ve spent weeks waiting for EA’s reply, that company which once promised entertainment and now seems to have become the prime suspect in its own crime: abandoning its players.

The phone stays silent, and only the hum of the lamp above my head keeps me company. Outside, the neighboring buildings seem to lean in, watching with a trace of pity the man still waiting for justice to arrive in the form of an email. Perhaps tomorrow that answer will come, I think. But in this case, like so many others, the culprit remains at large, and patience, my only ally fades away among shadows and the smoke of cold coffee.
