I would agree, but my GPU RTX 3060ti and Intel i7 11700 CPU are almost fully loaded as soon as I launch launcher BF2042, only the game menu, the game itself is not running yet. In any other games in a similar situation, the GPU and CPU usage does not exceed 5-10%. It's more like mining at my expense, rather than optimization.
And about politics. Bad Company 2, BF1, BF3, BF4, BF5 are working fine for me. Don't they have servers hosted on Amazon? I think these are malicious actions using a new EA-controlled game management application. If the problem is related to the location of the servers, this is not logical. I guess I'm going to have similar problems in BF 6.
The game menu preloads the lobby scene, which consists of your character in a room. That's real time rendering, so it explains why the GPU and CPU are being used. It's the same as COD menu screens. I doubt EA or any other large publisher would implement a miner in their games, as it's a surefire way of getting sued to oblivion.
It would be nice if they implemented an FPS limiter for the menu or when the game is not in focus, so the GPU can relax a bit.
