Javelin updates causing kernel/hardware level lock-up

I don't know what you guys did on the 16 Apr 2026 Javelin path but you guys need to revert that crap. I'm pretty sure I've identified Javelin as the reason for these computer lock-ups that people seem to be experiencing (see also: PC freezing after 10 minutes of playing since 4/16 | EA Forums - 13337729 )

My evidence that attributes this to a Javelin failure;

  •  Javelin is a kernel-level anti-cheat, which means it has far more control of a computer than you should have.
  • Using the EAAntiCheat.Installer.exe utility to uninstall, reinstall, and update/repair the installation fixed it entirely for a number of days. Another update must have been pulled/pushed, because this doesn't work anymore.
  • I guarantee I can load up BF2042 or BFV or BF1, all of which use Javelin as well, and play for less than 30 minutes before I get the same lock-up. I've tested this extensively and it's the only common thread between all 4 games. BF2042 + V + 1 don't receive major content updates anymore, but Javelin is the single components that drives all four.

There's no BSOD, no crash dump, no error messages, no Event Viewer logs,  NOTHING! It's like the CPU just gets switched off. You'll get one or two rounds out, then it could be in the menus, in the next round, it doesn't matter. Computer just .... stops processing.

When this first happened on 16 April, I was crashing all the way through Saturday when someone told me about the EAAntiCheat.Installer tool. I used this to uninstall, update, and reinstall to BF6 and that fixed it for a few days. Then you guys must have pushed another update at some point because it did it again the following Tuesday and has been since. Running the same steps no longer fixes it.

DICE you need to revert the 4/16 Javelin update or find a way to insert some logging into Javelin so we can get meaningful information.  There is ZERO reason why your anti-cheat should be hard-locking anyone's computer like this.

I am open to being personally contacted for collaboration with devs, scoped to specific testing circumstances or conversations about how to address this. I love Battlefield and I really want to have faith in this new team, but jesus christ y'all have to better than this.
