Hello (once again) – after almost two months, I would really appreciate a clear statement on this situation.
The standard response “All affected players have been compensated” is simply not an acceptable explanation. As you can read here from thousands of players, that statement is clearly not true.
Just tell us why we did not receive the compensation, or why we will not receive it.
But please stop telling us that EVERYONE affected has been compensated – that directly contradicts the experiences of many players.
According to the official post, you are considered affected if you were unable to play on October 10th due to the EA App issues.
As a pre-order customer (Phantom Edition – August 2025) who was unable to play through the EA App, I am clearly and unquestionably affected.
Was the issue that my profile showed a few hours of playtime on day one?
That surprised me as well, considering how much time I spent just trying to get the game running at all – and as already mentioned, every single minute of that “playtime” was nothing but reinstalling, testing every possible setting, and trying everything imaginable to make the game work.
In hindsight, I honestly ask myself how stupid you have to be to keep trying, when everyone already had concerns whether this launch would work at all – that alone should have been the confirmation.
Maybe it would have been smarter to start the game once, see “Doesn’t work, of course it doesn’t,” close the PC, and move on with more important things in life, like wondering whether it will actually get dark again this evening.
If you really made your decision based on some sort of playtime threshold, then please communicate that openly.
It won’t make the **bleep**storm any smaller, but at least it would be an honest position.
Your silence is achieving the exact opposite.
Let’s be honest: nobody here is trying to get huge amounts of money back from you.
This is simply about the fact that you made a promise – and many of us have not received what you promised.
We want nothing more than fairness. Nothing else.
