Yeah, it’s the same on consoles. Shadow quality looks overall more bad now and it’s not at all that ”grounding” without the shadows… I hope they fix it

Can confirm. Settings quality doesn't matter, weapon self shadows are simply not there - in multiplayer. Strangely, the shadows are present in the single-player campaign.

yes, the campaign was not affected by this update.

those shadows are also missing in the S1 trailer which might mean they did this intentionally... 🤔

Can confirm. overkill settings (or any setting) doesn't change that the weapon/first person viewport shadows are no longer rendering. this is a pretty big downgrade to be honest

Happening on PS5 as well but they are still there in the campaign. If it's happening on PC on overkill settings it has to be a bug (I hope).

This needs to be fixed it makes your arms and weapon stand out a lot and it becomes distracting because it looks strange

Yes, it ruined the games look, it was very cohesive. Now, without the weapon shadows it just looks wrong.
