Weapon self shadows missing

same here on ps5, it looks way worse, hope they fix it

Another update and the bug is still here. Did they do this intentionally? 🤔😠

yeah this is still unfixed with today's patch. good thing adding screenshots too. it really shows how jarring it looks now.

Still missing on PS5 after the update, hoping for a fix next week when the new map drops...

I clearly see the issue on your screenshots, but this weapon and gloves dont look that bad.

I am saying this after reading shocking reactions on steam forums. Most people really dont care about such stuff. Some people wouldnt notice at all.

I think a video would be a nicer example, but I know its hard to recreate one now.. definitely would require more effort as you would need to dig up some old gameplays

The latest update was just a hotfix and knowing certification takes a long time, I think theres still hope that the big update with new map on 18th could fix this

the most jarring thing from the screenshots is the whole underside of the scope is lit up like it's in direct sunlight. certain skins with the gloves look like they're floating because of the lack of shadows. i know it's a small weird visual bug, when the game has much bigger issues to deal with, but i can't unsee this. The weapon models felt so grounded in the world when you played, but now it feels really disconnected.

I can replicate this when playing campaign, as well as anyone else. this bug affected only multiplayer part.

If tuesday patch doesnt fix this, I think all Hope is lost

I don't think all hope is lost. looking at the forums here, there are much higher bug priorities to take care of ahead of any visual bugs like this. So we can hope that once they squash the bigger bugs, they can prioritize fixing this. 

fingers crossed for tomorrow's update, otherwise we just need to keep trying to get good examples from screenshots/videos and get visibility on the issue once things have died down

Well, they seem fixed for me on ps5 with the latest patch! Only played in sobek a bit just to check but the shadows are restored.
