F1 25 crashes on internal laptop display with black screen or freeze
Description:
F1 25 will not launch properly when using my laptop’s internal display. The game either freezes the entire system or goes black screen with audio still playing, requiring a restart. The issue does not occur when connected to an external monitor via HDMI, but running that way causes severe frame drops and input lag.
System specs:
Laptop with 13th Gen Intel Core i9-13900H
NVIDIA RTX GPU with latest drivers (clean install using DDU already performed)
Windows 11 fully updated
BIOS is up to date
Troubleshooting attempted:
Disabled Intel GPU in Device Manager
Forced NVIDIA GPU in Windows Graphics Settings and NVIDIA Control Panel
Set game to launch in borderless and 60 Hz in config file
Tried Ultimate dGPU mode in Armoury Crate
Disabled automatic display switching in NVIDIA Control Panel
Updated all drivers including chipset, GPU, and BIOS
Ran the game with HDMI plugged in (works but performance issues)
Ran the game with HDMI unplugged (always crashes)
Performed full reinstall of game and EA Anti-Cheat
Crash log package:
I have attached a zip file containing
Game executables and EA Anti-Cheat files from the install directory
EA Anti-Cheat logs from Program Files, ProgramData, and EA Desktop logs folders
DxDiag and MSINFO32 reports
Please investigate compatibility between F1 25, EA Anti-Cheat, and laptops using NVIDIA Optimus or similar switchable graphics systems. This issue appears to be tied to internal display initialization.
